Clues for BASS

From: Hunter (hmoonc@yahoo.com) | Date: 2006-07-11 05:45:16 UTC
I know that it was kinda decided that a clues wrangler wasn't really
needed, but I was trying to think of what I could contribute to the
shindig, and I'd love to offer to make a clues packet for the event
and make copies.
But this wouldn't be any old packet, oh no, this would be a gen-u-wine
hand made, old skool, hard core ZINE!! What is a zine you ask? short
for magazine, but way way cooler--it is the cool cousin of the
magazine, and it has art, poetry, prose, whatever the
artist/writer/creator/(editor?) wants in it. And it's all put
together like a little magazine, with page numbers and staples and a
cover page and everything!! So I would put this together, with clues,
neat clip art, profiles of those who are attending (or aren't
attending but wish they were), a singles column, recipes, opinion
articles (e.g., PZ Kut: is the extra few cents for the Grade A really
worth it?), jokes, comics, etc.
I love to do this sort of thing, it would be useful (it has clues), it
would be amusing, and it would be a nice souvenier (other than all the
amazing stamps). Would people be willing/able to email clues to me a
day or so in advance so that I could stick them into the waiting zine
and copy it all the night before the hoorah?
Lemme know if the idea stinks like my feet after a 21 mile hike.

I love it! I think it might be kinda cool if you left a few blank pages in
the back for getting stamps. I know some folks would prefer stamps in their
logbooks, but I personally think it would be neat to have personal stamps on
the 'zine itself, sorta like getting the program signed by the players at
the ballpark.

I'm all for creativity and I love to see the way different people are
inspired. I think it's a great idea. I also like the idea of some
blank pages for stamps - or a special spot for the event stamp. You could
even carve a stamp for the zine itself. :D You almost make me want to
do an artistamp for the event, too.. :)

Reminder - if you haven't RSVPd via AQ or with Kathy for potluck
headcount, and you're planning on attending, please do!

Until Saturday,
Eclipse
